Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Urica ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Urica is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to help users manage gout through meal analysis, flare tracking, daily context logging, and personalized pattern discovery. The App analyzes meals for purine, fructose, and glycemic content and helps users identify potential correlations with their gout flares. The App is available on iOS and Android platforms.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of Urica, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Urica offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions ("Urica Pro") are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Payment will be charged to your App Store or Play Store account at confirmation of purchase
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods

Free users are limited to 3 meal scans per day and 7 days of history. Premium subscribers have unlimited access to all features including full history, recipe generation, recipe import, correlation insights, and doctor's reports.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
• Use automated systems to access the App without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

Urica and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Urica and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you upload (such as meal photos). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, process, and store that content for the purpose of providing the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, URICA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Health issues arising from dietary decisions based on the App
• Gout flares or health outcomes related to use of the App
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated analysis or pattern insights
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Unauthorized access to your account

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. THE AI ANALYSIS AND CORRELATION INSIGHTS MAY NOT BE 100% ACCURATE. INDIVIDUAL RESPONSES TO FOODS VARY.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse of the service

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of Urica after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
